Sister from Another Mother

I have never tried to jump in when my friends were fighting. I never was the type that got in trouble at school for behavior reasons. I am a calm gentle person who has never been the type to take up for nobody but my family and myself. People always said I was weird and different but I didn’t care. I have a friend from Chicago, who people love to pick on because of her differences from the type of style in South Carolina. She dresses different, talk different everything about her is different and people like to make fun of her.
My friends name is Ciara Anderson. Students at school pick on her often and all she does is take it because she doesn’t like to get in trouble. People call her dumb for no reason. She takes a lot of junk from her fellow friends or associates. I am the only one in South Carolina that she considers her true friend. She was once my roommate but I moved out for various reasons. Ciara is different like me I will take up for her in a quick minute. I love her and pray for her everyday that people would accept her the way she is.
People should accept each other for the way they are. Being a gentle person people like to take advantage of them. I and Ciara choose not to let that happen. Yes, people are different but as long as they like who they are and they are living for God it is just fine. Ciara is a girl with a lot of heart who I think likes to fit in with the South Carolina life but God made her to be her I pray that’s who she becomes.

Cellphones

Everyone I know uses a cellphone. My grandmother is a old lady and she even has a cell  phone. Without cell phones where would this world be? A cellphone is not the only way of communicating  with someone. The first cellphone was used just to dial in and out not send picture messages and to text.
Cellphones now a days are in all sizes. The smallest phone is a Samsung Juke, which Verizon Wireless is the service. The largest phone is a iPhone. A cell phone does anything a computer can do. It is just like carrying a mini computer around. I think it should be age limits to cellphones because they can be used the wrong way.
Would I be able to talk to my mother without a cellphone? The answer to that is yes. Other ways of communication are Facebook and or online live chat.  Cellphones should have been made in one size. Texting and other things could go wrong with having a cellphone.

Attendance Policy

Should colleges have an attendance policy? Who decides whether a school has an attendance policy. The president or the highest people of the school decides on what actions occur in that institution. Colleges should not have any type of attendance policy because people can make there own decision once they are in college and that a decision students have to make.
Teachers take attendance to get people to come to class so they want fail. College is a great experience to get out own your own and further your future. At big schools such as The University of North Carolina don’t have an attendance policy. People who attend that type of school is considered a number in the classroom. Smaller schools such as North Greenville University has an attendance policy. I feel students make up their own mind whether they are going to waste thousands of dollars of scholarship money.
College isn’t free like high school. College is a lot more expensive, Some people rather not throw money down the drain and attend class. We got to school to get an eduation not a vaction. By not coming to class at a big school there is still a chance you pass but not at small schools. All presdients of colleges should get rid of attendance policies.

What Mother Don't Know I Won't Tell

I must say I have only encountered at least two scary days in my life. One was when I was about the age of nine, I had trouble breathing and I thought I wasn’t gone make it. By the grace if God I’m here today. The second thing was on July 25, my birthday. On my birthday I stuck in a ditch in my mother’s car at one of my friends house.
It was a Saturday at six o’clock p.m. when I went into a ditch in my mothers car. My friend girl was having a get together just to have one so I decided to attend it without telling my mother. My friend girl lives in the country on the back narrow roads. When I arrived there were cars lined up and down the street and I needed somewhere to park. I ended finding a park but when it was time to leave I backed up in a ditch. My mothers car was sitting on two wheels. All I could do was cry to the Lord. After, I cried these two boys helped me out.
I never told my mother that I got her car stuck in a ditch sitting on two wheels or she would never let me drive again. I didn’t tell my mother that I was going down to my friend girls house that’s why I think I got stuck because I wasn’t suppose to be down there.

A weekend at NGU

My weekend begins on Friday after athletic chapel, which is something that athletics are required to go to at North Greenville University. I am happy when I have a few days that I don’t have to do work and go to class. At times I like to go home on the weekend because there is nothing to do at North Greenville. I am not trying to talk bad about my school but I need options for the weekend.
A weekend at North Greenville is boring. The only options are to study and do homework, which I dislike doing but I need to and have to do to pass. Without making friends here I think my life would be so boring on the weekend. This weekend just about all of my friends left except for two. I had nothing to do so I slept studied and got invited to the mall. I thanked God my friends wanted to go the mall so I could have something to do.
North Greenville needs things to do at the school for the people who can’t make it home on the weekend so we want be so bored. Studying and homework is good but when I need a break from studying there are no options. My weekend would be much better if I had things to do.
